David Coughlan, CEO of SubCom, and members of his team will present an overview of current projects of the global leader in the manufacture, deployment and maintenance of the fiber optic undersea cable. Their cables power the worldwide communication networks that keep commerce and data flowing.
SubCom began operating on the Newington waterfront in 1955 originally as Simplex Wire & Cable Co. SubCom is a mainstay of the port and a contributor to our national security. SubCom operates a fleet of nine ships including Dependable, shown below.
